§ Mr. JackThe publication "Race and the Criminal Justice System" published under section 95 of the Criminal Justice Act 1991 and drawing on statistics and research findings currently available was published after consultation with the Judicial Studies Board and in particular the chairman of its ethnic minorities advisory committee.
§ Mr. VazTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what plans he has to extend legislative protection from racial discrimination to cover religious discrimination.
§ Mr. Peter LloydIn its second review of the Race Relations Act 1976 the Commission for Racial Equality has recommended that consideration be given to legislation on religious discrimination. The Government are currently giving careful consideration to all the recommendations which were put forward in the review.
