§ Mr. NelsonI have been asked to reply. The Maastricht treaty does not specify any particular level of expenditure for trans-European networks. The European Community's spending plans for the next few years are presently being considered on the basis of the Commission's proposal in document COM(92)2000; however, decisions have yet to be taken.
