To ask the Secretary of State for Health what were the rules governing payments and levies given to Financial Information Project Systems Ltd by the West Midlands regional health authority.

Directions to health authorities on the maintenance of systems of sound financial control are contained in health circular HC(91)25. A copy is in the Library. The question of payments to Financial Information Project Systems Ltd is currently under investigation.
