§ Mr. Gwilym JonesInformation on the number of smoke control orders in force in Wales is not held centrally. However, Welsh Office records indicate that 37 such orders were introduced in Wales in the period 1960–1988, covering over 1,500 hectares and more than 24,000 premises. No new orders have been made since 1988.
