asked Her Majesty's Government:

How many suspects aged under 18 years have been detained without charge, under the Prevention of Terrorism Act in Northern Ireland and Great Britain respectively, for periods exceeding 96 hours, in each of the last five years.

There has been one such detention in Great Britain, which was in 1989. The person concerned was subsequently made the subject of an exclusion order. The information requested in respect of Northern Ireland is given in the table below:
