§ Mr. Bennett
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many officials at deputy secretary level in the Treasury(a) have a degree in economics (b) were educated at state schools and (c) went to Oxbridge, as a percentage of all deputy secretaries in the Treasury.

§ Mr. Nelson
Of the Treasury officials at grade 2—deputy secretary—level, 50 per cent. have a degree in economics, 50 per cent. were educated at state schools and 33 per cent. went to Oxbridge.
