HC Deb 16 November 1992 vol 214 c48W
34. Mr. Raynsford

To ask the Attorney-General if he will make a statement on the decision of the Director of Public Prosecutions not to proceed with prosecutions arising from the unlawful killing of Mr. Oliver Pryce.

The Solicitor-General

The Director of Public Prosecutions decides whether a case should be prosecuted on the basis of the available evidence and in accordance with the code for Crown prosecutors. In this case, she had the advantage of leading and junior counsel's advice and concluded that there was insufficient evidence to justify a prosecution.
