To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment when he intends to offer PSA Projects for sale and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Redwood

[pursuant to the answer of 22 May 1992, c. 273]: A total of 860 staff of PSA Projects have chosen to transfer with the business on its sale to Tarmac Construction Ltd. I expect the sale to be completed on 1 December. A further announcement to Parliament will be made shortly giving the financial details of the sale once the implications of staff choice have been assessed.
