To ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage from which country the greatest number of tourists visited Great Britain during the current year.

In the first quarter of 1992, the latest for which statistics are available, the United States of America generated the greatest number of visits to the United Kingdom, with 504,000 visits, 15 per cent. of the total.
