HC Deb 09 November 1992 vol 213 c622W
21. Mr. Skinner

To ask the Secretary of State for National Heritage if he will make a statement on the proposals relating to English Heritage announced on 26 October as they affect Bolsover castle.

Mr. Key

English Heritage's new strategy for the 1990s envisages allocating three categories of importance to their historic estate, concentrating resources and improving facilities in the top two categories and passing properties in the third category to local management wherever possible.

Bolsover castle is to be in the first category and there are no plans to devolve its management.
