Mr. Brazier

To ask the Secretary of State for Education if he will list the schools which he and his ministerial colleagues have visited in their official capacity since assuming their different offices.

Mr. Patten

I, my noble Friend the Minister of State, and the Parliamentary Under-Secretaries of State, my hon. Friends the Members for Mid-Worcestershire (Mr. Forth) and for Carshalton and Wallington (Mr. Forman) have visited 57 schools so far during our periods in office, made up of

  • 1 nursery;
  • 21 primary schools, including 1 middle school;
  • 30 secondary schools, including 3 grant-maintained schools;
  • 2 special schools;
  • 3 CTCs and 2 sixth form colleges.
