asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they intend to publish any conclusions following responses to the consultation paper issued by the Lord Chancellor's Department in June 1991 and entitled Review of Financial Conditions for Legal Aid Eligibility for Civil Legal Aid.

I am still considering the responses to the paper in the light of the overall cost of legal aid and the Government's priorities in relation to public expenditure. I will announce my conclusions in clue course.
