§ Mr. Garel-JonesWe are aware of no formal petitions addressed direct to the United Kingdom as President of the Council of Ministers, although we receive a large number of informal questions and requests as presidency. We have received from the European Parliament one petition addressed to it by the National and Local Government Officers Association on the United Kingdom Local Government and Housing Act; and have taken note.
