I have been asked to reply.
The Chair of State remains on display at the Victoria and Albert museum. I understand that the National Heritage Memorial Fund is still hopeful that the chair will be returned to the Palace of Westminster, but that this is dependent on a charitable trust being set up to which ownership of the chair can be transferred.
