§ Mr. MacleanA number of processes involving the production of components for the battery industry will require authorisation under the integrated pollution control system by 1996, in accordance with the timetable set out in the Environmental Protection (Prescribed Processes and Substances) Regulations 1991, SI. 1991/472. Before applications are made to Her Majesty's inspectorate of pollution for authorisation, the chief inspector will issue guidance covering each process which will set out the standards which will be applied. Industry will be fully consulted during the preparation of this guidance.
