To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what proposals he has reached for further roads development in west Cumbria.

There are currently 18 schemes in the road programme for Cumbria either under construction or in preparation with a total estimated cost in excess of £200 million.

Five of these schemes are in west Cumbria. There are no proposals to add to this programme at present.
