§ Mr. TrippierThe Government are firmly committed to phasing out CFCs by the end of 1995 at the latest. An immediate phase-out of these substances would not be possible, because substitutes for some relatively high volume uses of CFCs still require further development before the overall demand will be low enough to be met by existing stocks.
