§ Mr. ChopeInformation on car ownership is given in "Transport Statistics Great Britain". Table 2.14 of the 1991 edition showed that, in 1989, 66 per cent. of households, or 14.3 million households, in Great Britain had the regular use of a car. Figures for 1990 will be available in mid-1992.
