HL Deb 02 March 1992 vol 536 cc19-20WA
Lord Holme of Cheltenham

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What was the cost of the recent advertising campaign for the privatisation of the electricity industry in Northern Ireland.

The Paymaster General (Lord Belstead)

No expenditure has yet been incurred on advertising in relation to the privatisation of the electricity industry in Northern Ireland. The advertising referred to formed part of Northern Ireland Electricity's own corporate advertising and is unrelated to the privatisation of the industry. Northern Ireland Electricity advise that the advertising campaign will cost about £130,000 in the current financial year.
