To ask the Secretary of State for Defence (1) what aspects of the global protection against limited strikes programme his Department is considering for deployment by the United Kingdom;

(2) what is his policy towards the deployment of theatre missile defences by the United Kingdom; and if he will make a statement.

We continue to keep the requirement for defence against ballistic missiles under review, in consultation with the United States and other NATO allies.
