Mr. Forth

On 11 June my noble Friend the Minister of State said in another place that the Government had undertaken a fundamental review of the Education Act 1981. and announced the Government's proposals to legislate to improve present arrangements for assessments and statements. We shall consult widely on the detail of our proposals.

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Health has ministerial responsibility for the provision of medical services.
