§ Sir Wyn RobertsThe responsibility for designating national parks in Wales rests with the Countryside Council for Wales, although such designations require confirmation by my right hon. Friend. There are no orders relating to new national parks currently before my right hon. Friend but any such proposal would be considered on its own merits.
