§ Mr. AitkenThe Royal Naval and Royal Marine personnel operating on Cambodian vessels as part of the United Kingdom's contribution to UNTAC are acting as United Nations military observers and, in accordance with the usual practice, will not be armed. The security of all United Kingdom participants in UNTAC is the responsibility of the United Nations and the Cambodian factions. We do however, keep the security position in Cambodia and the possible threat to the safety of United Kingdom personnel under continuous review.
