§ Mr. SackvilleHealth authorities have made significant progress in ensuring that women receive the results of a smear test within the national one month target. At December 1990, around two thirds were meeting the target, by December 1991 more than 96 per cent. of health authorities were reporting cervical smear results within one month or less. We expect regional health authorities to monitor the performance of districts to ensure this high level of performance continues.
