§ Mr. McLoughlinThere are at present no plans to change the existing role and status of the electrical equipment certification service. However, the Health and Safety Executive recently commissioned consultants to review the role and status of the service. The executive is currently consulting staff and other interested parties before considering whether to make any recommendation to the Health and Safety Commission and Ministers, in the light of the conclusions of the consultants, concerning the service's future role and status.
