What is their programme for processing the applications for the current round of City Challenge.

All 54 bids in the current round of City Challenge have been assessed against the aims and criteria set out in the published bidding guidance. Ministers in my department have looked at the bids and officials' reports of the presentations, and towards the end of this month will be meeting the bidding authorities. The winners of the competition will be announced by the end of July 1992.
