§ The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of the Environment (Lord Strathclyde)Yesterday I issued a public consultation document containing proposals which would extend the statutory nuisance procedures to include noise in the street; improve the control of loudspeakers in the street; and provide adoptive powers for local authorities to require the fitting of cut-out devices to burglar alarms. The consultation document also deals with some points of clarification in the existing statutory nuisance provisions in the Environmental Protection Act, 1990.
