To ask the President of the Board of Trade how many applications have been received and are outstanding for the construction of gas-fired power generating plants.

To ask the President of the Board of Trade (1) how many applications have been received and are outstanding for the construction of non-fossil fuel power generating plants;

(2) if he will make a statement on his Department's policy concerning the approval of new non-fossil fuel generating plants.
