§ Mr. MacleanThe climate change convention adopted on 9 May sets as its objective the stabilisation of greenhouse gases concentrations in the atmosphere at a level that would prevent dangerous anthropogenic interference with the climate. As a first step towards this objective, the convention also sets targets and timetables for greenhouse gas emissions which all developed countries will aim to achieve.
