§ Mr. EggarThe Government are aware of a proposal by CENELEC, the European Standards Committee for electricity, to move to a standardised nominal voltage of 230 volts throughout the European Community and EFTA countries. The Government will be consulting the electricity industry, equipment manufacturers and consumer organisations about the implications of the proposal.
