HC Deb 02 June 1992 vol 208 c510W
Mr. Dunn

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make it his policy that the high speed rail link from Ashford to central London will terminate at Stratford, east London, and will follow closely the route devised by Ove Arup; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Freeman

The Government's preference remains that the rail link should approach London from the east, via Stratford, and terminate at King's Cross. The route is currently being refined on the basis of the broad corridor published last October.
