§ Mr. SackvilleIn July 1991 regional health authorities were asked to undertake a comprehensive review of their family planning services. Regions were asked to report by the end of June 1992 on the criteria they have set purchasing authorities for securing more effective family planning services and the specific targets that will be set for district health authorities and family health services authorities for 1993–94. Criteria and targets will depend on the priorities set as a result of assessment of local needs. Careful consideration will be given to the reports from regions and, in the light of these, to the future development of family planning service provision.
