§ Mr. Sproat
To ask the President of the Board of Trade if he will make a statement about the European Court's decision on the net book agreement.

§ Mr. Neil Hamilton
Until I have seen the text of the court's ruling, I cannot comment on it.

§ Mr. Sproat
To ask the President of the Board of Trade if he will now refer the net book agreement to the Office of Fair Trading.

§ Mr. Neil Hamilton
The net book agreement falls within the Restrictive Trade Practices Act 1976 and as such is a matter for the Director General of Fair Trading to consider.
