§ Mr. Archie HamiltonThe information on defence expenditure provided to the United Nations and that contained within the annual statement on the Defence estimates are both based on information collected within the MoD for financial management purposes. It is not possible to quantify any additional costs.
§ Mr. MilburnTo ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will publish a table of expenditure on equipment purchased by his Department, cross-referenced to 615W standard regions, showing Greater London as a separate region, for each year since 1987–88 (a) at current prices and (b) at 1987–88 prices.
§ Mr. AitkenMy Department's expenditure on equipment between 1985–86 and 1990–91 broken down by region, together with estimates of the associated direct employment, is published in table 1.11 of the 1992 edition of "Defence Statistics". Separate figures for Greater London could be provided only at disproportionate cost and effort. The published figures may be recast to the price base desired by the use of published indices.
