The Attorney-GeneralMy predecessor represented the Government twice in 1979, and I represented the Government as Attorney-General twice in 1989. Those figures do not include cases in which I represented the Government as Solicitor-General or cases in which the Attorney-General does not represent the Government but acts for the crown as guardian of the public interest. The other information sought by the hon. Member could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
