§ Mr. Heathcoat-AmoryThe United Kingdom is a party to the proposals by the twelve EC member states for strengthening IAEA safeguards. These proposals were included in a statement made by the Netherlands on behalf of the EC and its member states to the general conference of the IAEA in September 1991: a copy of the statement has been placed in the Library of the House. The proposals are being fully explored in the board of governors of the IAEA.
§ Mr. FlynnTo ask the Secretary of State for Energy what is the reason Her Majesty's Government has not paid in full the Kingdom's 1992 contribution to the International Atomic Energy Agency.
§ Mr. Heathcoat-AmoryIn accordance with normal Government practice, the United Kingdom's 1992 contribution to the International Atomic Energy Agency will be paid at the beginning of the United Kingdom's next financial year.
