§ Mr. HeseltineThe Department of the Environment had 6,729 non-industrial employees on 1 January 1992; 5,066 are white, 456 are of ethnic minority origin, and 1,207 have not yet revealed their ethnic origin.
The Department employs 73 staff who are registered disabled and a further 58 who are known to have a disability but are not registered.
