asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will publish particulars of any differences in the authoritative English text of the Treaty of Maastricht as signed on 7th February, and the version of it published immediately after the Intergovernmental Conference in December 1991.

The text as signed differs from that made available to Parliament immediately after Maastricht in a number of respects; the separate treaties on EMU and political union have been amalgamated and renumbered; minor changes in the text have been made to ensure internal consistency with the Treaty of Rome; a non-justiciable preamble
