HL Deb 19 February 1992 vol 535 c49WA
Lord Avebury

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What further restrictions, if any, they will impose on the export of arms and equipment capable of being used for military purposes to Indonesia, in the light of recent killings of civilians in East Timor, West Papua and Acheh by the Indonesian armed forces.

The Earl of Caithness

None. We do not allow the export of arms and equipment likely to be used for repressive purposes against civil populations.
