HL Deb 19 February 1992 vol 535 c49WA
Lord Lyell

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What contributions the United Kingdom is making towards UN peacekeeping operations in Cambodia.

The Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office (The Earl of Caithness)

The UK's assessed contribution towards the United Nations Advance Mission in Cambodia (UNAMIC) is estimated to be £500,000. Parliamentary approval for this new service will be sought in the Spring Supplementary Estimate for Foreign and Commonwealth Office: other external relations vote (Class II, Vote 2). Pending that approval, urgent expenditure estimated at £500,000 will be met by a repayable advance from the contingencies fund.
