Mr. Jackson[holding answer 10 February 1992]: This is the subject of local negotiations. Therefore figures for 1992–93 are not available.
The Employment Department contract with Merseyside training and enterprise council for 1991-92 is made up of the following expenditure:
£ Block 1 20,906,987 Block 2 12,960,897 Block 3 3,551,350 Block 4 1,205,303 Block 5 2,029,638 Total 40,654,170 Block 1 covers: Youth Training and Education.
Block 2 covers: Adult Training—Employment Training.
Block 3 covers: Business and Enterprise.
Block 4 covers: Other expenditure including local initiative fund activities, advertising and publicity etc.
Block 5 covers: Management costs.
