§ Mr. DorrellThe patients charter gives the individual patient the right to have any complaint about denial of charter rights investigated by the chief executive of the NHS, who will take any necessary remedial action. Health authorities will have to publish information about their performance against national and local standards annually. Performance against standards will be a key feature in the NHS performance review process.
