To ask the Secretary of State for Defence when he last met representatives of the fishing industry to discuss submarine activities.

On behalf of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Defence I met fishing industry representatives to discuss submarine issues in June 1991. In addition I discussed the same issues with an all-party group of MPs in November 1991.
