Wales Pre-School Playgroups Association has applied for grant in 1993–94. The application is under consideration. It is hoped to announce a decision by the end of January 1993.

(2) if he will make extra funds available to county authorities to enable them to expand their assisted places schemes; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Gwilym JonesEarmarked special funds are allocated to counties under the all-Wales mental handicap strategy, to provide a comprehensive pattern of new services including developments for children with a mental handicap. The specific amount allocated to pre-school playgroup assisted places for such children is for decision each year by county joint planning teams who are best placed to decide on local needs and priorities.
