HC Deb 17 December 1992 vol 216 c445W
Mr. Peter Bottomley

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he proposes to maintain as public policy the avoidance of undue stimulation of gaming.

Mr. Peter Lloyd

The Government have no plans to depart from their policy that the demand for gambling, including gaming, should not be unduly encouraged. As in the past, this principle will continue to be applied in different degrees according to the nature of the gambling involved.
