§ Sir John CopeI have responsibility for "green issues". Environmental issues are treated as an integral part of policy consideration. As envisaged in the First Year Report on "This Common Inheritance" (Cm 1655), the Treasury has prepared a strategy for environmental "good housekeeping". Resources are allocated as necessary to ensure the efficient despatch of business.
