§ Mr. NorrisCasualties in the pilot corridor have fallen by some 17 per cent. in the 18 months since the start of the scheme, compared with the equivalent period leading up to the launch in January 1991. The latest figures for the boroughs through which the pilot route runs show an average reduction of about 7 per cent.
