HC Deb 10 December 1992 vol 215 c783W
Lady Olga Maitland

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what has been the change in the rate of accidents on the pilot red route since its inception; and what are the figures for comparable routes in adjacent London boroughs.

Mr. Norris

Casualties in the pilot corridor have fallen by some 17 per cent. in the 18 months since the start of the scheme, compared with the equivalent period leading up to the launch in January 1991. The latest figures for the boroughs through which the pilot route runs show an average reduction of about 7 per cent.
