To ask the Secretary of State for Transport which British Rail services do not face competition from other transport modes.

All British Rail services face competition to some degree from other modes of transport.

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will list for each major part of British Rail the levels of capital spending for each year from 1984; and if he will list British Rail income, separating assets, sales and grants for each year from 1984.
