§ Mr. EasthamTo ask the Lord President of the Council what action he has taken, since the debate on Members' salaries on 25 November, in regard to hon. Members who may end their service after 1 January 1993, due to death or ill-health.
§ Mr. DixonTo ask the Lord President of the Council what steps he has now taken for the parliamentary contributory pension fund to include a scheme for additional voluntary contributions or otherwise to protect hon. Members who may have to retire due to ill-health after 1 January 1993 and to protect the dependants of hon. Members who may die while in the service of the House after that date.
§ Mr. NewtonI shall be meeting the trustees of the parliamentary contributory pension fund shortly to discuss the pensions matters raised in the debate on 25 November, including the possibility of setting up an additional voluntary contribution scheme.
