§ Sir John WheelerTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what arrangements he proposes to make for the establishment of a new advisory agency to assist leaseholders seeking enfranchisement.
§ Sir George YoungI announced on 17 November, during a sitting of Standing Committee B on the Housing and Urban Development Bill, that the Government would be prepared to contribute towards the costs of a leasehold enfranchisement advisory agency for an initial period. The Leasehold Reform Co-ordinating Committee is working on a scheme for such an agency and hopes to submit proposals shortly.
